The government set electricity prices so that people wouldn\\’t complain, ensured its production regardless of the impact on the environment, the landscape, and even people\\’s lives, built a lot of power lines, and that was it. People then used light bulbs that, as we were later taught, were energy-intensive and therefore undesirable, and energy conservation was not really considered… People simply lived according to the unspoken motto “after us, the deluge.”Then came a period when the topic of ecology began to emerge. Although, unlike today, it was not discussed in all its aspects. Rather, due to the ever-increasing cost of electricity, we were encouraged to buy more energy-efficient appliances, especially light sources. These were expensive, and it took a lot of effort to convince people that they were worth it. And because that apparently didn\\’t work, they eventually banned traditional light bulbs. And today, we are bombarded with environmental issues related to electricity at every turn. People complain about expensive electricity, but they have to put up with it because it\\’s about nature above all else. And what does that mean? The question of what to do with waste from nuclear power plants is being addressed. From the outset, these were considered an ecological alternative, but suddenly it turns out that no one wants their dangerous waste. And unlike in the socialist era, when such power plants were built here, those in power can no longer simply decide to put it somewhere; they no longer have absolute control over our nation. So it will be complicated. And certainly expensive. Damn expensive. And we are supposed to focus on solar energy. Which no one would want if they had to pay for it entirely out of their own pocket. And so, for this reason, the government subsidizes just about everyone. But what does that mean? That we will pay for it again. From our taxes. And the result? We\\’ll be poor and have fields covered with solar panels. Containing mercury and other nasty stuff that will also have to be dealt with later.
